Week 2: #3

The story Beowulf so far is okay. It is slighty difficult for me to understand. Sometimes it gets a little confusing with the format of the writing. The vocabulary that is used in the story is different than the vocab we use today, making it more difficult to understand. I read a little slower with epic poems because of the difficult names and languages. Once I say a word I try to remember how I previously pronounced it so it will be stored in my own vocabulary.

Week 2: #2.

My favorite superhero would have to be Spiderman. Spiderman is very humble. He saves the world repeatedly yet never needs to be recognized. Spiderman rescues people and does good deeds just to help others. Doing the right thing is all he knows to do in pressure situations. Peter Parker was just an average guy until he got bitten by a spider. Many people couldnt handle the pressure that comes along with newly discovered powers, yet he takes ever challege that comes his way. A hero in my own words is someone who puts others above themselves for selfless reasons. A hero doesn’t have to be a superhero. Firemen, policemen and doctors are all heroes to me because of the way they help save others.

In order to be a good leader there are many personal qualities you must have. One very important trait that someone must have is to be understanding. A leader need to let others give input and understand others point of view in order to come up with the best solution. Also, the have to be outspoken. Someone who is a leader can’t get pushed around and walked over. A leader must be respected in order to effectively lead others.
